Scalable photonic quantum computing architectures pose stringent requirementson photonic processing devices. The need for low-loss high-speed reconfigurablecircuits and near-deterministic resource state generators are some of the mostchallenging requirements. Here we develop an integrated photonic platform basedon thin-film lithium niobate and interface it with deterministic solid-statesingle-photon sources based on quantum dots in nanophotonic waveguides. Thegenerated photons are processed with low-loss circuits programmable at speedsof several GHz. We realize a variety of key photonic quantum informationprocessing functionalities with the high-speed circuits, including on-chipquantum interference, photon demultiplexing, and reprogrammability of afour-mode universal photonic circuit. These results show a promising pathforward for scalable photonic quantum technologies by merging integratedphotonics with solid-state deterministic photon sources in a heterogeneousapproach to scaling up.
