Privacy-preserving deep neural networks (DNNs) have been proposed forprotecting data privacy in the cloud server. Although several encryptionschemes for visually protection have been proposed for privacy-preserving DNNs,several attacks enable to restore visual information from encrypted images. Onthe other hand, it has been confirmed that the block-wise image encryptionscheme which utilizes block and pixel shuffling is robust against severalattacks. In this paper, we propose a jigsaw puzzle solver-based attack torestore visual information from encrypted images including block and pixelshuffling. In experiments, images encrypted by using the block-wise imageencryption are mostly restored by using the proposed attack.
