In this paper, an artificial noise-aided strategy is presented forlocation-privacy preservation. A novel framework for the reduction oflocation-privacy leakage is introduced, where structured artificial noise isdesigned to degrade the structure of the illegitimate devices' channel, withoutthe aid of channel state information at the transmitter. Then, based on thelocation-privacy enhancement framework, a transmit beamformer is proposed toefficiently inject the structured artificial noise. Furthermore, the securelyshared information is characterized to enable the legitimate devices tolocalize accurately. Numerical results show a 9dB degradation of illegitimatedevices' localization accuracy is achieved, and validate the efficacy ofstructured artificial noise versus unstructured Gaussian noise.
