Stellar pulsation is nowadays a widely understood subject. However, there hasbeen no research about the effects of pulsations on the star's orbital dynamicsthroughout the galaxy. We investigate whether these oscillations can causechaotic behaviour in the stellar orbit if it is immersed in background darkmatter halos. We show that for a certain range of parameters of the pulsatingobject these effects are present in a general background matter field. However,for the typical range of parameters of realistic astrophysical scenarios, theseeffects are too small to be detectable.
