In the present article, we show that a simple modification to theEinstein-Hilbert action can explain the possibility of mutual interactionbetween the cosmic fluids. That is achieved considering the Weyl IntegrableSpacetime in the background of a nonflatFriedmann-Lemna\^{i}tre-Robertson-Walker geometry for the universe. We showthat widely-known phenomenological interacting cosmological scenarios cannaturally appear in this context. We then performed the dynamical systemanalysis of the underlying cosmological scenario and explored manypossibilities extracted from this gravitational theory.
