We have studied a flavor symmetry-based extended left-right symmetricmodel(LRSM) with a dominant type-II seesaw mechanism and have explored theassociated neutrino phenomenology. The particle content of the model includesusual quarks, and leptons along with additional sterile fermion per generationin the fermion sector while the scalar content contains Higgs doublets andscalar bidoublet. Realization of this extension of LRSM has been done by using$A_{4}\times Z_{4}$ discrete symmetries. In this work, we have also includedthe study of sterile neutrino dark matter(DM) phenomenology along withneutrinoless double beta decay within the framework.
