The sixth generation (6G) era is envisioned to be a fully intelligent andautonomous era, with physical and digital lifestyles merged together. Futurewireless network architectures should provide a solid support for such newlifestyles. A key problem thus arises that what kind of network architecturesare suitable for 6G. In this paper, we propose a capacity-guaranteed network(CGN) architecture, which provides high capacity for wireless devices denselydistributed everywhere, and ensures a superior scalability with low signalingoverhead and computation complexity simultaneously. Our theorem proves that theessence of a CGN architecture is to decompose the whole network intonon-overlapping clusters with equal cluster sum capacity. Simulation resultsreveal that in terms of the minimum cluster sum capacity, the proposed CGN canachieve at least 30% performance gain compared with existing base stationclustering (BS-clustering) architectures. In addition, our theorem issufficiently general and can be applied for networks with differentdistributions of BSs and users.
