The deformation properties of 74Ge, 74Se and 74Kr are studied within thephenomenological Bohr-Mottelson model, having as input the experimentalcollective energy states, as well with Covariant Density Functional theoriesbased on microscopic structural information. The results of these approachesare shown to be compatible in what concerns the presence of coexisting shapesin the considered nuclei, while the emergence of shape mixing is deduced fromthe phenomenological calculated collective states.
