The growth of transition metal dichalcogenide (TMDC) alloys provides anopportunity to experimentally access information elucidating how opticalproperties change with gradual substitutions in the lattice compared with theirpure compositions. In this work, we performed growths of alloyed crystals withstoichiometric compositions between pure forms of NbSe2 and WSe2, followed byan optical analysis of those alloys by utilizing Raman spectroscopy andspectroscopic ellipsometry.
