Photos can be treated as life logs of photo owners. Photos can be reliableinformation to estimate patterns of actions and movements of the owners. Basedon this discussion, we are developing an interactive technique to explore therecommended tourist spots based on their past personal travel photos. Thetechnique extracts a set of keywords from the photo set applying a genericobject recognition and constructs a tree structure to support the explorationof the keywords. When a user selects a set of interesting keywords, the systemprovides travel information related to the selected keywords. Our previouspaper already introduced the visualizations that demonstrate theappropriateness of the structure of the keywords. This paper focuses on themechanism for interactive travel information retrieval of our system and userevaluations with this system.
