DEM simulations were used to study the sensitivity of a granular system tothe change of the mechanical properties of the grains, applied to thepenetration of a cylindrical intruder near a vertical wall. The simulationsreproduce a real experimental setup, changing the friction, the Young modulusand the restitution coefficient of the particles.
