Whereas anyons are the building blocks in topological quantum computation, itremains challenging to create and control each anyon individually. Here, wepoint out that dissipative dynamics in cavities deterministically deliverdroplets of light in desired fractional quantum Hall states. In these quantumHall droplets, both the number and locations of anyons are preciselycontrollable without requiring extra potentials to imprint and localize suchquasiparticles. Using the density profile of light, the anyonic statistics isreadily accessible. Moreover, entangling a quantum spin valve with thesequantum Hall droplets establishes a direct readout of the braiding statistics.Our work unfolds a promising route for quantum optics to solve challengingproblems in quantum Hall physics.
