In order to study the phenomenon of regional economic development and urbanexpansion from the perspective of night-light remote sensing images,researchers use NOAA-provided night-light remote sensing image data (data from1992 to 2013) along with ArcGIS software to process image information, obtainthe basic pixel information data of specific areas of the image, and analyzethese data from the space-time domain for presentation of the trend of regionaleconomic development in China in recent years, and tries to explore theurbanization effect brought by the rapid development of China's economy.Through the analysis and study of the data, the results show that theurbanization development speed in China is still at its peak, and has greatdevelopment potential and space. But at the same time, people also need to payattention to the imbalance of regional development.
