As simulating complex biological processes become more important for modernmedicine, new ways to compute this increasingly challenging data are necessary.In this paper, one of the most extensive volunteer-based distributed computingsystems, called folding@home, is analyzed, and a trust-based approach isdeveloped based upon it. Afterward, all advantages and disadvantages arepresented. This approach uses trusted communities that are a subset of allavailable clients where they trust each other. Using such TCs, the systembecomes more organic and responds better to malicious or malfunctioningclients.
