Continuous changes in the technology and the business landscape place highstrain on managing knowledge in organisations. Prior researchers highlight apositive connotation with knowledge management competence and organisationalinnovativeness in a turbulent environment. However, the rapid changes in themarket and technology landscape may exert an additional pressure on theemployees and such pressures may ultimately hinder organisationalinnovativeness. Drawing on knowledge management and innovation literature, thisresearch conceptualises a model that investigates this tenacious relationshipbetween knowledge management competence and innovativeness specifically inturbulent dynamic markets, considering information systems development(ISD)-outsourcing as the context. Following a mixed method approach, thisresearch expects to provide guidance for ISD-outsourcing vendors to manageinnovation expectations, knowledge management process and performance of theemployees in dynamic market conditions.
