We report the use of optically addressable spin qubits in SiC to probe themagnetic stray fields generated by a ferromagnetic microstructurelithographically patterned on the surface of a SiC crystal. The stray fieldscause shifts in the resonance frequency of the spin centers. The spin resonanceis driven by a micrometer-sized microwave antenna patterned adjacent to themagnetic element. The patterning of the antenna is done to ensure that thedriving microwave fields are delivered locally and more efficiently compared toconventional, millimeter-sized circuits. A clear difference in the resonancefrequency of the spin centers in SiC is observed at various distances to themagnetic element, for two different magnetic states. Our results offer awafer-scale platform to develop hybrid magnon-quantum applications by deployinglocal microwave fields and the stray field landscape at the micrometerlengthscale.
