In this paper we study the implications of the generalized Higuchi bound onmassive spin-two fields for the derivative of the scalar potential withinbimetric theory. In contrast to the recent de Sitter swampland conjecture, anupper bound on the derivate of the scalar potential follows from thegeneralized Higuchi bound. In combination, this leaves a window for thederivate of the scalar potential. We discuss this bound in severalrepresentative bimetric models and parameter regions.
