A novel approach that allows access to long-sought information on theHyperon-Nucleon (YN) interaction was developed by producing a hyperon beamwithin a few-body nuclear system, and studying final-state interactions. Thedetermination of polarisation observables, and specifically the beam spinasymmetry, in exclusive reactions allows a detailed study of the variousfinal-state interactions and provides us with the tools needed to isolatekinematic regimes where the YN interaction dominates. High-statistics datacollected using the CLAS detector housed in Hall-B of the Thomas Jeffersonlaboratory allows us to obtain a large set of polarisation observables andplace stringent constraints on the underlying dynamics of the YN interaction.
