We provide an analytical derivation of the confinement deconfinement phasetransition to QCD in the pure gluon sector at finite temperature within theframework of S U(3) dual QCD formulation. The mechanism of color confinementhas been explained by adopting magnetic symmetry to extract magnetic monopolesin a gauge invariant way and produce magnetic condensation of S U(3) dual QCDvacuum which guarantees the dual Meissner effect. The deconfinement phasetransition has been described by constructing the effective potential at finitetemperature in the imaginary time formalism. The magnetic monopole condensateacts as an order parameter for both the confinement deconfinement phase and hasbeen observed to be associated with the appearance/disappearance of magneticmonopole condensate. The evidence of the confinement deconfinement phasetransition is further confirmed by the appearance/disappearance of the dualMeissner effect and the existence/breaking of flux tube with temperature. Thegauge-invariant vector and scalar glueball masses at finite temperature havebeen obtained from the minimization of the effective potential at finitetemperature which seems to demonstrate a first order deconfinement phasetransition associated with the restoration of magnetic symmetry.
