Scrambling effect on de Sitter horizon, which is a fundamental problem yet tobe resolved, is studied from a quantum information theoretic point of view. Wefirst study the evolution of quantum correlation in spacetime for threemaximally entangled states. The effect of the expansion is described by anoperator sum representation with the corresponding Kraus operator. It is shownthat this map is a trace-preserving and complete positive map. It is found thatthe quantum effect in de Sitter spacetime can be represented as a noisy quantumchannel by using these two properties. We suggest that our analysis of therelation between bipartite mutual information and tripartite mutual informationcan be viewed as a specific model to show the scrambling effect in de Sitterspacetime. For large expansion rate, there exists a small magnitude of thebipartite mutual information when the magnitude of the tripartite mutualinformation is large. This is congruent to the fact that scrambling means thedifficulty of information recovery from the local measurement. Therefore, weconclude that there is a scrambling effect in de Sitter spacetime.
