In this letter we introduce a new approach to fabricate under SOI platformvery small footprint power splitter. The proposed strategy of design is basedon the well-known simplified coherent coupling. The sensibility of designparameters are also analyzed and discussed in this paper. By this approach verycompact device can be designed and open a new avenue to improve and enhance theperformance of integrated devices developed under SOI scheme.
