We construct \emph{intrinsic} metrics on the Strichartz hexacarpet usingweight functions and show that these metrics do \emph{not} satisfy the chaincondition. We give uniform Harnack inequality on the approximating graphs ofthe Strichartz hexacarpet with respect to the intrinsic metrics instead ofgraph metrics.
