In this paper, we consider the issue of covert communications with randomaccess protocol. We consider that the legitimate user Bob has no prioriknowledge about packet arrival time and thus employs data-aided frame detectionbased on reference sequence. The warden user Willie tries to detect this covertcommunication by using a radiometer. The detection performance analysis isprovided for both Bob and Willie under Rayleigh fading channel. It isdemonstrated that the covert performance can benefit from the increase of theframe length or the number of receive antennas from frame detectionperspective. Numerical results are provided to verify the proposed studies.
