In this letter, we consider the control of an energy self-sufficient receiverin a multi-access network with simultaneous wireless information and energytransfer. Multiple transmitters send data to a common receiver whose onlysource of energy is a finite size battery which is recharged only from theenergy harvested from incoming RF signals. The nodes access the channelrandomly resulting in a packet collision when multiple transmitterssimultaneously access the channel. The receiver takes samples from the receivedRF signal to calculate the probability of a collision. The objective is tomaximize the receiver goodput subject to the instantaneous availability ofreceiver energy. We develop an asymptotically optimal dynamic controlalgorithm, where the receiver makes an energy harvesting or decoding decisionaccording to the current channel measurements and battery level.
