Using a portable star tracking system, we are able to obtain the geographicalposition of the observer, longitude, latitude and North direction. In thiswork, a new optimization method has been applied to improve accuracy incalculation of the observer position better than 6 arcsec (200 meters). In thismethod, we used 80 to 100 stars in each taken picture from the sky to applyoptimization method. To obtain the accuracy it has been recorded observationsfor frequent 50 nights. In each night it has been taken 100 images.
