Here we present the conceptual design of a wide field imager onboard a 6Uclass CubeSat platform for the study of GRB prompt and afterglow emission anddetection of electromagnetic counterparts of gravitational waves in softX-rays. The planned instrument configuration consists of an array of X-rayHybrid CMOS detectors (HCD), chosen for their soft-X-ray response, flexible andrapid readout rate, and low power, which makes these detectors well suited fordetecting bright transients on a CubeSat platform. The wide field imager isrealized by a 2D coded mask. We will give an overview of the instrument designand the scientific requirements of the proposed mission.
