With the optical kerr effect, the conventional photonic crystal can be turnedinto the function photonic crystal under the action of pump light. In thepaper, we have designed the ultra-strong light source and laser withone-dimensional function photonic crystal. When the incident light is theordinary light, the output is ultra-strong light source, and when the incidentlight is the low power laser, the output is ultra-strong laser, the maximummagnification can be reached $10^{80}$ and even more. Otherwise, we analyzedthe effect of period number, medium refractive index and thickness, incidentangle, the pump light irradiation way and pump light intensity on themagnification, these results shall help to optimal design ultra-strong lightsource and laser.
