Traction-separation relationship is an important material characteristicdescribing the fracture behaviour of quasi-brittle solids. A new numericalscheme for identification of the traction-separation relation by inverseanalysis of data obtained from various types of fracture tests is proposed. Dueto employing the concept of sequentially linear analysis, the method exhibits asuperior numerical stability and versatility. The applicability andeffectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated on examples involvingidentification of the traction-separation relationship using experimental datafrom various test configurations.
