The goal of this report is to study the conditions for efficient THzgeneration using Frequency Difference Generation principle. In particular, twoCW IR beams are used together with a periodically poled lithium niobate crystalin order to generate a continuous THz wave. As a source of the IR pump beams weconsider a 30W (CW) IPG Er-doped fiber-amplifier which currently is the mostpowerful commercial amplifier on the market. The work is motivated byapplication of CW sources of THz waves in high bit wireless communicationapplications. The amplifier will allow to mix two optically modulated IR beamsand to generate modulated THz signal.
