Flavons are crucial for understanding lepton mixing in models withnon-Abelian discrete symmetries. They also result in charged lepton flavourviolation (CLFV) via the couplings with leptons. I emphasise that theflavon-triggered CLFV succeeds strong connections with lepton flavour mixing.Relations between branching ratios of CLFV decays and mixing angles arediscussed, and CLFV sum rules are obtained. Flavons with masses around hundredsof GeV are consistent by current CLFV measurements.
