Existing multicasting schemes for massive content delivery do not fullyutilize multicasting opportunities in delay tolerant content-orientedapplications. In this paper, we propose a novel temporal-spatialaggregation-based multicasting scheme in a large-scale cache-enabled wirelessnetwork. The proposed scheme can efficiently exploit multicasting opportunitiesin asynchronous content requests to improve spectral efficiency. By making useof the delay tolerance of elastic services, the proposed scheme achieves abetter energy-throughput-delay tradeoff. Utilizing tools from stochasticgeometry, we derive a tractable expression for the successful transmissionprobability in the general region. Using asymptotic approximations, we deriveclosed form successful transmission probabilities in the large delay region aswell as the large and small user density regions. The asymptotic results revealthat the successful transmission probability increases and the energyconsumption decreases at the cost of delay increase in these asymptoticregions. The analysis in this paper provides a new understanding of theenergy-throughput-delay tradeoff for massive content delivery in large-scalecache-enabled wireless networks.
