It is argued that alternative electrodynamics of superconductivity proposedby Hirsch lacks mathematical rigour and it is conceptually flawed. Gaugenon-invariance of the theory makes justification of the experiment reported in[arXiv:1607.05060] to test its prediction doubtful. It seems even with improvedtechniques the outcome would remain inconclusive.
