In these proceedings we discuss a flavor-safe explanation of the anomalyfound in $R_K= {\cal B}(B \to K \mu^+ \mu^-)/{\cal B}(B \to K e^+ e^-)$ byLHCb, within the framework of composite Higgs models. We present a modelfeaturing a non-negligible degree of compositeness for all three generations ofright-handed leptons, which leads to a violation of lepton-flavor universalityin neutral current interactions while other constraints from quark- andlepton-flavor physics are met. Moreoever, the particular embedding of thelepton sector considered in this setup provides a parametrically enhandedcontribution to the Higgs mass that can weak considerably the need forultra-light top partners.
