Solitons, as self-reinforcing solitary waves, interact with complexbiological phenomena such as cellular self-organisation. Soliton models areable to describe a spectrum of electromagnetism modalities that can be appliedto understand the physical principles of biological effects in living cells, ascaused by electromagnetic radiation. A bio-soliton model is proposed, thatenables to predict which eigen-frequencies of non-thermal electromagnetic wavesare life-sustaining and which are, in contrast, detrimental for living cells.The particular effects are exerted by a range of electromagnetic wavefrequencies of one-tenth of a Hertz till Peta Hertz, that show a pattern oftwelve bands, if positioned on an acoustic frequency scale. The model wassubstantiated by a meta-analysis of 240 published papers of biologicalradiation experiments, in which a spectrum of non-thermal electromagnetic waveswere exposed to living cells and intact organisms. These data support theconcept of coherent quantized electromagnetic states in living organisms andthe theories of Davydov, Fr\"ohlich and Pang. A spin-off strategy from ourstudy is discussed in order to design bio-compatibility promotingsemi-conducting materials and to counteract potential detrimental effects dueto specific types of electromagnetic radiation produced by man-madeelectromagnetic technologies.
