In this work, the dynamics of dephasing (without relaxation) in the presenceof a chaotic oscillator is theoretically investigated. The time-dependentdensity functional theory (TDDFT) framework was employed in tandem with theLindblad master equation approach for modeling the dissipation dynamics. Byemploying the Kohn-Sham (K-S) scheme under certain approximations, the exactmodel system for the potentials was acquired. In addition, a space-fractionalK-S scheme is developed (using the modified Riemann-Liouville operator) formodeling the dephasing phenomenon. Extensive analyses and comparative studieswere then done on the results obtained using the space-fractional K-S systemand the conventional K-S system.
