We report a magnetic field dependence of fluorescence of diamond singlecrystals containing NV$^-$ centers. In such spectra, numerous sharp lines arefound, which correspond to Level Anti-Crossings (LACs) in coupled spins systemscomprising an NV$^-$ center. Theoretical modeling of such "LAC-spectra" enablescharacterization of paramagnetic defect centers and determination of theirmagnetic resonance parameters, such as zero-field splitting and hyperfinecoupling constants. The outlined method thus enables sensitive detection ofparamagnetic impurities in diamond crystals.
