We propose the creation and investigation of a system of spin-one fermions inthe presence of artificial spin-orbit coupling, via the interaction of threehyperfine states of fermionic atoms to Raman laser fields. We explore theemergence of spinor physics in the Hamiltonian described by the interactionbetween light and atoms, and analyze spectroscopic properties such asdispersion relation, Fermi surfaces, spectral functions, spin-dependentmomentum distributions and density of states. Connections to spin-one bosonsand SU(3) systems is made, as well relations to the Lifshitz transition andPomeranchuk instability are presented.
