This work presents a method for estimation of the acoustic intensity, theenergy density and the associated sound field diffuseness around the origin,when the sound field is weighted with a spatial filter. The method permitsenergetic DOA estimation and sound field characterization focused in a specificangular region determined by the beam pattern of the spatial filter. Theformulation of the estimators is presented and their behavior is analyzed forthe fundamental cases useful in parametric sound field models of a single planewave, a uniform diffuse field and a mixture of the two.
