FIR observation of BCD galaxies with Herschel has revealed a wealth of newinsights in these objects which are thought to resemble high-redshift forminggalaxies. Dust and cold gas showed to be colder, in more or less quantitiesthan expected and of uncertain origin. However, not unlike in the localuniverse, not all the dust or the cold gas is accounted for, making it morechallenging. SPICA and its factor 10 to 100 in sensitivity will allow to imagethe faint extended cold gas/dusty disks in BCDGs in addition to detect faint Cand O lines only marginally or not at all detected by Herschel/
