This article presents a new semi-automatic method for charge and massidentification in two-dimensional matrices. The proposed algorithm is based onthe matrix's properties and uses as little information as possible on theglobal form of the identification lines, making it applicable to a largevariety of matrices, including Particular attention has been paid to theimplementation in a suitable graphical environment, so that only twomouse-clicks are required from the user to calculate all initializationparameters. Example applications to recent data from both INDRA and FAZIAtelescopes are presented.
