We argue that electromagnetic decays of energetic unflavoured neutral mesons,notably $\eta$, mis-identified as single photons due to granularity of theelectromagnetic calorimeter might create bump-like features in the diphotoninvariant mass spectrum at different energies, including 750 GeV.
