This paper presents robust fault diagnosis and estimation for the calibratedairspeed and angle-of-attack sensor faults in the RECONFIGURE benchmark. Weadopt a low-order longitudinal model augmented with wind dynamics. In order toenhance sensitivity to faults in the presence of winds, we propose aconstrained residual generator by formulating a constrained moving horizonestimation problem and exploiting the bounds of winds. The moving horizonestimation problem requires solving a nonlinear program in real time, which ischallenging for flight control computers. This challenge is addressed byadopting an efficient structure-exploiting algorithm within a real-timeiteration scheme. Specific approximations and simplifications are performed toenable the implementation of the algorithm using the Airbus graphical symbollibrary for industrial validation and verification. The simulation tests on theRECONFIGURE benchmark over different flight points and maneuvers show theefficacy of the proposed approach.
