In this paper we endeavour to find a connection between the non-commutativenature of space time and the {\it zero point field}. We observe that extraeffects come into play when we take into account the Compton scale effects insuch a space-time and the electromagnetic field tensor and the current densityget modified. This defines an underlying connection between non-commutativityand the {\it zero point field}.
