Light wave reflection from optical disordered media is always associate withits phase, and the phase statistics influence the reflection statistics. Wereport a detailed numerical study of the statistics of the reflectioncoefficient RR* and its associated phase(theta) for plane electromagnetic wavesreflected from one dimensional (1D) Gaussian white-noise optical disorderedmedia, ranging from weak to strong disordered regimes. We solve numerically thefull Fokker-Planck (FP) equation for the joint probability distribution in theRR* - phase(theta) space for different lengths of the sample with differentdisorder strengths. The statistical optical transport properties of 1D opticaldisordered media are calculated using the full FP equation numerically. Thisconstitutes a complete solution for the reflection phase statistics and itseffects on light transport properties in a 1D Gaussian white-noise disorderedoptical potentials. Our results show the regime of the validation of the randomphase approximations (RPA) or uniform phase distribution, within the Bornapproximation, as well as the contribution of the phase statistics to thedifferent reflection averages for strong disorder regimes. Results of theprevious work reported in the literature relative to the present work also beenreviewed and discussed
