Simplifying the constitutive behaviour of a material in terms of the lumpedparameter elements is useful to design plant models in control engineering. Inthis contribution, a lumped parameter modelling approach is used to representthe constitutive behaviour of ferroelectric ceramics. Using the elementsavailable in simulink, an electrical circuit is designed to simulate theferroelectric behaviour. The simulation results of dielectric and butterflyhysteresis shows the possibility of applying the lumped parameter modellingapproach in the design of displacement control systems.
