The DD-reaction is investigated and the heat emission off the targets duringtheir irradiation with ion beams is studied at the HELIS ion accelerator atLPI. The heat emission is observed to be significantly higher in the case ofirradiation of the Ti/TiO2:Dx-targets by a D+ beam, as compared to the H+ andNe+ beams. Furthermore, it depends on the concentration of deuterium in thetarget and current density of the deuteron beam.
