A search for new physics is performed based on events with jets and a pair ofisolated, same-sign leptons. The results are obtained using a sample ofproton-proton collision data collected by the CMS experiment at acentre-of-mass energy of 8 TeV at the LHC, corresponding to an integratedluminosity of 19.5 inverse femtobarns. In order to be sensitive to a widevariety of possible signals beyond the standard model, multiple search regionsdefined by the missing transverse energy, the hadronic energy, the number ofjets and b-quark jets. No excess above the standard model backgroundexpectation is observed and constraints are set on a number of models for newphysics.
