The theory of heavy meson masses, in which the symmetries of heavy and lightquarks are exploited, can be used to describe the low energy interaction amongheavy mesons to a better extent. The spin-flavor symmetry leads to manyinteresting relations between the properties of hadrons containing a heavyquark. The most direct consequences concern the spectroscopy of such states. Weuse such symmetries to explore some of the states of B-meson and predictionsare found to be in agreement with the experimental data.
