A novel model of thermal regulation of homoeothermic animals has beenimplemented. The model is based on a non-equilibrium thermodynamic approachwhich introduces entropy balance and the rate of entropy generation as aformulation of The Second Law. The model explains linear correlation between ananimals skin and environment temperatures using the first principles anddemonstrates the role of blood circulation in the thermoregulation ofhomoeothermic animals.
