Orthogonal polynomials of two real variables can often be represented incomplex variables. We explore the connection between the two types ofrepresentations and study the structural relations of complex orthogonalpolynomials. The complex Hermite orthogonal polynomials and the diskpolynomials are used as illustrating examples.
